Chapter 341 of the Health and Safety Code provides for the regulation of public health hazards.
Step 1 – Complete the Microsoft Form to file a complaint with NET Health of a suspected Foodborne Illness (Link to Microsoft FBI Form)
Step 2 – NET Health will review the data and may contact you back to collect more details about the scenario. If you became ill, you will likely be asked to complete a 3 day food history and in some cases up to 2 weeks of foods and beverages consumed. Step 3 – Complaint data will be compared to other complaints to associate common source and to schedule investigations
Step 4 – For multiple complaints from a common source, NET Health will initiate a foodborne illness outbreak investigation.
